Aviation Day | 03rd April 2025

Future Airline Business Models - Partnering and Personalisation as Keys to Success

Tourism/Travel Management

On April 3rd, 2025 the Competence Center Aviation Management (CCAM) in Worms will host the 3rd Aviation Day exploring pressing challenges and new opportunities shaping today’s air travel industry

How can airlines provide travelers with attractive and personalized offers in times of mounting costs and scarce capacities? How can such a business model be implemented with partners in the value chain in an economical and sustainable way?

In the first part, renowned industry leaders will discuss the shifting landscape of aviation amidst rising costs, geopolitical crises, supply chain disruptions and sustainability challenges. As airlines navigate these forces, we’ll examine whether air travel will remain accessible for a diverse range of travelers or shift towards a luxury service, only accessible to a few.

In the second part, we’ll look ahead to the passenger experience of tomorrow, discussing how advanced technologies, innovative offer management approaches and strategic airline-airport partnerships can bring seamless, immersive and affordable services to a new generation of travelers.

We will address topics among others:

  • What are the medium-term consequences of rising location costs in Germany combined with production delays by the aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus? Will ticket prices increase significantly?
  • How can all players in the travel value chain contribute to a truly seamless and valuable experience for the individual traveler?
  • How can advanced technologies shape the future travel inspiration and experience?

Our modern university campus is the perfect place to connect today’s industry experts with their peers, but especially with our talented aviation and travel management students who are eager to shape the future direction of the aviation industry.
