The computer science student body consists of students from the computer science department and is elected by them in a general assembly every winter semester. The student council makes it its task to be the mouthpiece for the students towards the university and to support them in all matters. The student council helps with questions about exams, the examination regulations and technical topics, mediates between professors and students, offers orientation aids for freshmen and also organizes interdisciplinary community activities.
