You have chosen a degree programme that is subject to the central application procedure. For a successful application, follow the steps we have compiled on this page.
Step 1: Registration in the Hochschulstart portal
For registration, you enter your personal data at Hochschulstart and then receive an applicant ID (BID) and a BAN (applicant authentication number). You will need these to apply in our university applicant portal (step 2).
Note: Multiple registration is not permitted. If you register more than once, we will only decide on the applications received with the most recent registration. Excess registrations will be deleted along with all applications belonging to you and will not take part in the further procedure. A deletion cannot be reversed.
Please note that you can use your user account, which you created by registering, for applications in later procedures. A further registration would constitute an inadmissible multiple registration.
Do you have any questions about registering with Hochschulstart?
If so, please contact Hochschulstart directly here or send an e-mail to service@hochschulstart.de.
Step 2: Registration in the portal of Worms University and electronic application
After the successful registration at Hochschulstart, you register at the application portal of the Worms University of Applied Sciences and submit up to three application forms electronically there.
Tip: The sooner you apply, the sooner we can process your application, i.e. you may be able to see an entry in the portal of the University of Worms in time and react if important documents are missing. Applications received shortly before the application deadline cannot be processed before the application deadline.

Compile application documents and upload them within the online application
In order for us to process your application, you must upload documents during the online application at the respective position. It is helpful if you have the necessary documents to hand, e.g. to indicate grades or periods of time. Therefore, have (high school) diploma, data on military service or FSJ and e.g. documents on your vocational training ready. You will also need a pdf program (e.g. Adobe Acrobat) and a printer/scanner to upload the application documents within the online application. The documents must be uploaded as a PDF file with a maximum file size of 10 MB.
You will find a checklist below, which you can use as a support for compiling the documents.
Step 3: Prioritization of all application requests at Hochschulstart
When allocating admission offers, Hochschulstart is primarily guided by your wishes. To make this possible, it is necessary that you prioritize your applications according to your personal ideas and preferences. Only on the basis of this prioritization is it possible for Hochschulstart to provide you with the admission offer that most closely matches your wishes.
If possible, you should prioritize your application requests by 22nd January (for a summer semester) or 22nd July (for a winter semester).
You can set the prioritization in your Hochschulstart user account under "My applications" via the link "Prioritize applications" below the table "Submitted applications".
Setting the prioritization is very important, because in the course of the coordination phase, the release of ranking lists and the elimination of other applicants will result in an admission offer for one of your applications at any time. If there is more than one offer, the coordination rules will take effect immediately, which can have decisive consequences (passive acceptance of one admission offer).
